Yarn Along

I am joining Ginny this week for Yarn Along. I am crocheting! This makes me very happy. My neighbor has blessed me with her graciousness a couple of evenings this week as I invite myself down to sit around her kitchen table and crochet under her thoughtful eye. I now have two Granny Squares to my name. I am also working on just a simple blanket late at night before bed. It’s rather mindless and very soothing…back and forth…back and forth…change a color if I feel like just because I know how…back and forth…

I started reading The Hermitage Within at the recommendation of my Spiritual Director. I’m not even in the first chapter and needed to take the day to ruminate on the introduction.

  1. You know I have forgotten how to crochet, I was taught by my grandmother who passed way fourteen years ago. After her death I just did not want to anymore. I wish I had not of stopped. Maybe I could learn again, would be interesting and if I could get good enough things for the house, gifts, and something to pass on to another generation.

    • Hi Nikita. My neighbor has had to reteach me so many times because I keep forgetting how to do it. I’m sure it’s because of lack of practice. I think, I’m finally catching on because I’m trying to do at least a little everyday.

  2. Just popping in to say Hi…I love this blog. This is always a sense of peace when I visit and the pics say what words can’t. I am sure my husband will be visiting frequently as we get ready to garden.

Have blessed days this weekend, my friend. Be at peace : )
