Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes

Wow, we were taken by surprise today!  Pope Benedict XVI is stepping down.   I vividly remember sitting in the front room with the kids watching the Papal election when he was elected.  I don’t remember when John Paul II was elected.

This crazy weather; we are on the roller coaster of cold, warmer, very pleasant, snow predicted…We are not going to order the chicks until the first of March.  Hopefully by then the possibility of really cold weather will have passed.

Chris has built three more beds, so that brings us to 8 raised garden beds, and three gutter beds.  I have got get my planting schedule and chart in order.  Tonight I have been working on getting our recipes organized.  I would say I am about 80% finished.

We welcomed another daughter into teenager this weekend.

My Sweet Ga-Ga, as you are very affectionately known to your siblings.  You encourage me to strive for heaven dear girl.  Your kindness and generosity put me to shame and your tender heart inspires me.  You take it all in stride–something I need to learn.  Your creative endeavors have blessed me many times, most recently my handmade rosary.  You seem to know what to say and when; just the right words to prick my conscience or move my heart.  Welcome to your teenage years.
